Funding opportunity for Earlsfield community groups

Do you have ideas of how to improve your local area? If so, there are two current funding opportunities that might be able to help you:

Wandsworth Big Society Fund
This fund is run by Wandsworth Council and awards grants of up to £5,000 to community groups. It supports projects that aim to enhance peoples quality of life, take a greater responsibility for the fabric of their neighbourhoods, or improve local services by devising better ways of delivering them.  Applications need to receive endorsement from a ward councillor. The deadline for applications is Monday 6th October. For further information see: www.wandsworth.gov.uk/wbsf.

Wandsworth Community Fund
This fund is run by the London Community Foundation and members of Wandsworth Council’s Grants Overview and Scrutiny Sub-Committee form the grants panel. It funds initiatives that encourage civic and community action. Grants range from £250 to £5,000. The deadline for applications is also Monday 8th October . For further information see: http://www.londoncf.org.uk/grants/available-grants/wandsworth.aspx (scroll down).

Recommendations for both funding rounds will be made when the Wandsworth Council Grants sub-committee next meets on 18th November 2014.
